Wells, Easter Sunday

Had a lovely family day at Wells today. An early start, after waking the young ones, enabled us to nab a free parking space down a little side road on our arrival.
A walk along the Quay saw many people with buckets of crabs,  they had caught on lines or in nets. We carried on along the path towards the beach, pausing along the way as Rosie made friends. No less than 5 Schnauzers did we see.
The beach was packed with families playing games, dogs chasing balls and walkers.

I saw a seal pop its head up in the channel leading out to sea. Rosie had a great time running and splashing in the wet sand. We then strolled back through the pinewoods,  finding a den along the way.

A refreshment stop was well over due, so we munched into sausage rolls, pasties, cake and ice cream and drank tea and coffee. Rachel even saw a colleague who had come down from Northampton for the day.
A great day ended with everyone falling asleep in the car on the way home. Oh.. and Rosie needing a bath when we got in.
